Juan Carlos Hernandez, DDS, is a board-certified doctor of dental surgery who was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. In 1996, he received a dentistry degree from Javeriana University in Bogotá.
After practicing dentistry for over seven years in Colombia, Dr. Hernandez moved to New York City in 2003. At New York University, Dr. Hernandez trained in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics in the international program, then continued with the advanced dentistry program, earning his D.D.S. in 2007.
In 2010, he moved to Atlanta, where he opened Nukoa Family Dentistry. He later partnered with Dr. Claudia Urrego-Torres and opened a second practice. To this day, from their two locations in Cumming and Duluth, Georgia, the like-minded dentists offer both general and cosmetic dental treatments to patients young and old.
Dr. Hernandez is a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
